Saturday with Santa in the Arts District | November 22
Saturday with Santa is November 22 in the Arts District! Enjoy a fun-filled day with photos with Santa, the Toddlin' Around Town Scavenger Hunt, craft stations, holiday shopping specials, and much more. Stroll along Harrison Street to spot Cece the winged pig hidden in shops and enter to win prizes. Families can enjoy activities like face painting, ornament decorating, writing letters to Santa, and sweet treats all along Harrison. This free, family-friendly event is hosted by the Collaboration for Early Childhood and the Oak Park Arts District Business Association. Don’t miss out on the holiday fun that’s for a good cause too - bring a toy donation and get a complimentary picture with Santa!
Snowflake Ornament Drop-In | Begins November 28, 2025
- Drop-in times for our snowflake ornament making Begin after Thanksgiving. Fridays from November 28 to December 26 from 2 to 5pm, and Saturdays from November 29 to December 27 from 1 to 4pm. Our popular snowflake ornaments are available in 3 sizes, the traditional small size, as well as medium and large sizes ($6, $12, and $15 respectively). Appropriate for age 6 and up.
- Kits for making snowflakes at home are also available in the shop or can be purchased via The Bead In Hand Store.
- In addition, we have a number of projects that are appropriate for ages 8 and up (see below). Instructions are available on our website and at the shop. Our knowledgeable staff can help you select materials and give advice on design and technique. Or, if you're in a hurry, grab a kit with the materials and instructions already gathered for you.
